Naptime Routine

Personally, I’m not going to worry about naps in the cot etc until he’s 6 months. I’m soaking up the contact naps and on-the-go naps, then I’ll gradually transition to cot naps at 6 months. The first nap of the day is meant to be the easiest one to do in the cot, apparently! I’ve got a nearly 3 year old as well and she only really started doing lengthy cot naps when she was 15 months old. Otherwise she would sleep in the pram, car, in my arms or baby carrier. Don’t pressure yourself! X

I really can't do first one in the cot as my husband is usually still in bed with 2 dogs 😂 for now I'm always like ok first one on me, next one I'll take him up but as soon as he sleeps I can't bring myself to do that 🥹 he oversleeps on me most times tho yesterday he stretched one to 2.5 hrs - how do you manage that if ever happens?

oh bless haha kick the husband and the dogs out! I don’t normally have him asleep on me for that long! The other day he napped on me for 2 hours which was the longest contact nap since he was newborn. Normally he falls asleep in the car then I transfer him to the pram after 10 minutes of sleep in the car, and he normally stays asleep - so I go for a walk or to the shops etc, or if I have stuff to do I bring the pram top in the house or through the back garden so I can do bits in the house whilst he still sleeps.
