1cm dilated - 38 weeks

I’m 38 weeks and just 1 cm dilated lol 😆 I know that really means nothing. This is my first pregnancy though so I’m curious how long after you had your cervix checked and you were also 1 cm dilated did you go into labor?

Is it normal to have your cervix checked if not in labour? I've never had mine examined until I was in active labour 😅

I was just under 3 cm dilated practically my entire 3rd trimester. Since it was my first pregnancy and things weren't progressing, my Dr said that there was a very high chance that I would need to be induced. 5 days before my due date and scheduled induction, I had a membrane sweep and went into labor early the next morning.

I was 1cm with my first for two weeks and was induced at 40w1d (should have waited baby and my body were not ready)
My second I wasn't even 1cm at 41w so I was induced and had a VBAC.
Honestly you can sit at 1-3cm for weeks and not go into full labor. You're not full term yet so just enjoy baby cooking for a little longer. A lot of brain development occurs in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy.

for me I was being pressured into having an induction and upon me refusing many times I agreed to have a sweep and that’s where I found out I was 2cm, so in that scenario I’m assuming maybe xx

I just had my cervix checked today I’m 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant and I’m still experiencing pressure and cramping. This too is my first pregnancy so I’m hoping he will stay in a lil bit longer until I get induced.

I was 1 cm dilated at 39 weeks with my first. Had to get induced due to BP and the induction failed. This time I'm already 1 cm at 36 weeks. No sign of labor at all.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
