I feel so so so guilty that I stopped breastfeeding so early but I just couldn’t do it due to work. I was being made to feel guilty for pumping for such long periods. I literally couldn’t help it because my milk supply was so big. I had to pump for least 1hr & 45 mins every 3 hrs & that’s if I completely emptied out. Now looking at my baby she just looks so small to me. People always say oh she’s so tiny! I can’t help but to think is it because I stop breastfeeding? I promised myself if I ever get pregnant again I will not be working I need to be a SAHM. I work the night shift 3:45pm-til 12:30 or later. I can’t help to think is my baby not walking because she’s small?! Or is she small because her dad & I are skinny/long people. I need help with my thoughts please ladies. It’s definitely tough being a first time mommy. Also I’m having a lot of problems with body shaming my self 😔 I know this was chaotic I’m sorry I’m sorry! Any advice ladies?

I think the best thing is to take a deep breath and realize what you did for your child worked for you and your child. Period. Development is a wild thing and although breastfeeding does help, genetics and time play a huge role.
I had twins and my daughter stopped BF before my son. She has gotten sick just a little bit more than him which leads me to believe his immune system might be stronger because he BF longer but in the end they’re both perfectly fine.
It’s hard not to hyper analyze these things but try not to get lost in it. She’s going to grow and develop just fine. There are a lot of kids who don’t get the opportunity to BF and they are happy healthy fully developed children.
Your emotions are valid but I think genetics is playing more of a role than the BF in this case. 💕

Sending you hugs girly. Your doing amazing 🙌🙌
Formula fed babies are typically ‘bigger’ babies anyways. If your little is happy and fed that’s all you need to worry about.
Fed is best 🙌🙌🙌

i definitely understand the anxiety but if the doctors aren’t concerned with her size then i wouldn’t be either. fed is best and breastfeeding or not isn’t going to make your baby a diffident size, its mostly genetics.
why she isn’t walking is also not because of breastfeeding or not, babies walk on their own times due to their environment and how they’re interacted with. my baby was cruising for 3 months before she decided to step away from objects to actually walk. if you carry your baby all the time they tend to take longer to walk because they don’t see a need to learn on their own. just keep trying to teach her. she’ll get it eventually!
Thank yall so much for the reassurance I’ve been beating myself up seriously 🫶🏽🥺

Her size is for sure not due to you not giving her breastmilk. I have twins who I stopped breastfeeding at like 4 weeks old. One is SUPER FAT and the other is mighty skinny. They both have always been on the same formula as the other, same feeding schedules, everything. Your baby just isn’t a chunky 1 and that’s perfectly okay & normal! And babies can take up to 18m to start walking, I wouldn’t be concerned at all. Again, 1 of my twins is walking, the other isn’t. Try not to compare other kids to yours, I did that with my first, my son, & it caused me so much anxiety.

i still breastfeed at 13 months and my baby is still pretty small. people make comments all the time about how she is “small” for her age. and she is still not walking. don’t beat yourself up. your baby is fed and healthy. every baby is just different!
