Anyone else experienced/experiencing this? I’ve got another midwife appointment and scan booked for next week. I only found out yesterday when I was 37+6… they didn’t seem concerned. But I’m in panic mode…

I would call the hospital and query it. At 37+6 this seems like a very slow response to discuss options. Where I’ve worked you would generally be offered to turn baby within the week and discuss option of c/s.
Has anyone gone through the risks of things like cord prolapse or what to do if your waters were to break with baby still in a transverse position?
They’ve discussed nothing with me about it. There not the slightest bit concerned. Yet my sister is a midwife at a different trust & she is concerned …

Yeah I’m with your sister. At this gestation there definitely needs to be more urgency. At my previous trust you’d have seen a consultant on the assessment unit the same day
So badly done. They’ve told me twice now my little one is transverse, but there’s just no urgency. Bubba has only just turned transverse in the last few weeks following a scan showing that they’re head down (little monkey). I just hope I’m not too late, I’ve queried it so many times but there’s nothing being done x

Cord prolapse is a huge risk with transverse lies. RCOG actually recommend offering elective admission from 37 weeks with transverse babies so if your waters go and it is a prolapse you are in the right place as it’s and emergency situation. I’d a million percent advise calling triage/ assessment unit and asking for an urgent review
I just gave my community midwife a call and she’s going to see me in a mo. Hopefully she’ll give me some answers… I feel so disappointed with the hospital as they’ve been nothing but good up until now :(
