Has anyone taken the dummy away at 7 months? My daughter is waking every few hours overnight for her dummy and it's disturbing all of our sleep. She can put it in by herself but won't feel around for it when she wakes up, she just cries. She has 4 in her cot at the moment. I've tried leaving her for a couple of minutes and I've tried putting the dummy in her hand before going to bed myself, both with no luck.
I feel cruel taking her dummy away this young as she loves it and finds it soothing, but at the same time I want her to sleep better independently as she's definitely relying on the dummy at the moment. Any advice please? TIA

No advice on taking it away but we use ones at night with glow in the dark handles. So he goes to bed with it in, and has three spares in the cot too. He’s a pro at putting them back in as he can find them so easily
