Hi, I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and have what I think is the beginning of a UTI. I called 111 and they said to go to a pharmacy first thing tomorrow and they’ll be able to prescribe me antibiotics. Does anyone know if this will still be okay/ they will prescribe if I am pregnant? Thanks so much!

Yep, I'm 21w and currently on nitro for a UTI x
Oh thank you, and the pharmacist was ok to prescribe it not GP? Thanks!

I’m not sure they will want to prescribe you anything to be honest. I think if they don’t, call 111 back and they should be able to sort you an out of hours appointment. I had mastitis and called them on a Saturday and I had to be seen within 6 hours - this was done at my GP where they run out of hours clinics x

Sorry was GP that prescribed mine, I thought you were asking if you'd still get them with being pregnant x

Why wouldn't they suggest a urine test first? What if it's not a UTI. Also I'm not sure if this is just different in your country, but who would be writing the script?

I tried to get abx for a UTI when I was breastfeeding but the pharmacist wouldn’t prescribe because of that so has to go to GP. You can try with pharmacist and if not 111 for the out of hours GP
