Co sleeping

My nearly 7 week old won’t sleep unless she’s on me or next to me. I need to look at co sleeping options, please can people advise? I was always a no absolutely not co sleeping but I’m getting less than 2 hours sleep in 24 and desperately need to sleep.
Lg won’t settle for her dad and won’t take a bottle anymore (combo feeding) she will only take direct from breast

Check out the Safe Sleep guideline and check out the Lullaby Trust. Co-sleeping can’t be done if baby was born prematurely just incase that’s the case x

she was born 38+3

That’ll be fine then. I just wanted to mention it as I couldn’t co-sleep with my daughter as she was born 4 weeks early x

I cosleep, started in the bed around 8 weeks. Joined a safe Cosleeping Facebook group and they were very helpful. I just feed him lying on my side. (That’s also how you’re supposed to sleep too, it’s called the C curl) …best decision ever.

i kept baby in a sidecar bassinet at mattress level so i could sleep with my arm around her. then from 4months—18months we bedshared and it was an extremely positive experience. followed the safe sleep 7 and mastered the side lying nurse position and got soooo much more sleep. if you can set up a little diaper changing caddy next to your bed so you dont have to get out of bed to change diapers, that really helps too.

Start with naps during the day! I held my baby and we’d sleep for hours together. During the day my sleep was lighter and i could easily see what was going on. She would be on my chest or in one arm as i laid on my back. The biggest threat is CO2 poisoning when they’re inhaling they’re own breath that can silently suffocate, make sure the fan is on and there’s no blankets covering their face and their face isn’t pressed into your body. Also swaddle baby at night for sleeping is the only thing that saved us. We would put her down like 10 times before she would actually go down… it was killer. You got this stay strong!

My son wouldn't sleep unless being held and I too was probably only getting 2 hours a day for the first 2 month of his life, I was very against co sleeping as I was scared of the risk. It's far better to safely co sleep than fall asleep with the baby in your arms when you're on the sofa or not in a safe position in bed. My boy insisted on sleeping on my chest quite often too which was a struggle to do in the safest way possible, obviously it's not completely safe but there is a lot of info online about how to try your best to make it safe. Me and my son now co sleep most nights. Definitely better when they get bigger and can move around a bit, it's now mine and my sons special snuggle time and my smart watch is telling me I've always scored excellent on my sleep app lol

Check out happycosleeper on instagram or fb group. she does offer bundles you can buy with all the information or it’s pretty much all on her page or in her highlights. It’s a lovely supportive community. I’ve been cosleeping with my son for 21m now. Happy to offer any advice if you want to dm me. But as long as the bed is firm and flat (not quilted/pillow top), you sleep in the cuddle curl position, keep all covers/pillows away from baby, you are not intoxicated

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
