Diaper recommendation for blowouts

Baby is currently having a ton of blowouts and the up & ups can’t handle them 😅 we’ve got a ton of soiled clothes atm. Looking for recommendations on diapers that can hold a blowout! (Not Millie moon or rascals because we have problems with the fit, and not Huggies little snugglers because of the blue dye situation going on with chemical burns)

**for context I just sized him up last week. He’s dealing with constipation from starting solids so when he finally poos it’s a lot

We use pampers sensitive and never had a problem but sometimes the blow outs mean you need to size up on the diaper

we just sized up last week

I sized up on my girl and the moment it ran out, had to size up AGAIN! She's just long! Might be your issue. Have you tried Coterie?

Avatar

I love Huggies! And they don’t have fragrance or phlalates.

Avatar

he’s 4 months old and just sized up to size 4😅 I feel like size 5 will be huge!! Coterie isn’t in our budget

Avatar

I do too but people keep saying the new blue dye is causing chemical burns so I’m avoiding them. Specifically the little snugglers/movers

i love huggies little snugglers my baby girl was having blow outs when i used pampers

Pampers swaddlers only thing working for me and mine

We use Huggies Skin Essentials — they have a different fit than the little snugglers (larger fit I’d say). Super soft and seem to handle blow outs fairly well

Avatar

I loveeeeee honest diapers!!

Avatar

Check the size! Too small = more blow outs.

Avatar

do they contain blowouts well? I’ve heard mixed things about honest but I’ve never tried them myself!

Avatar

yeah we just sized him up last week. He’s only 4 months old wearing a size 4 diaper

Avatar

I love Huggies skin essentials. He was having blowouts in those a couple weeks ago but we sized up so they might be able to contain his blowouts in the bigger size. I might go back to them!

Avatar

We used the Costco brand and it helps everything in. Huggies had some leakage.

Avatar

they do got us!! Every time we put our baby in his bouncer he pooped without fail, and since he’s sitting up he always has blow outs when he’s in it!! Honest are the only ones that have contained everything.

Avatar

my baby pretty much only poops in his bouncer! I might have to try honest then!

Dypers work really well for us. I feel like they are the cheaper version of Coterie… love the Coterie ones but they are a bit too expensive.

Avatar

that’s so interesting! We tried dypers when our little one was first born, and they didn’t hold up well for us at all! Lots and lots of leaks.

We use Esembly cloth diapers at home but disposables (Pampers Pure) when we are out. Whenever I’m concerned about a potential blowout in a situation that would really suck (airplane for example) I put one of the outer parts of his cloth diapers on over the disposable. We haven’t had many issues using the Pampers Pure (less chemical crap too!) but maybe look into getting yourself a cloth diaper outer to put over top of his disposables

Pampers swaddlers have saved me so many time cause the flap in the back it goes into that little flap instead of up her back.
however when all else fails and they are happening way too often. I size her up.

We love Parasol Diapers!! You can get them from Target online! They are kind of like a Cotiere dupe (but way better in my opinion!) super soft and Target usually has sales on diapers so I feel like it makes it worth it!

Avatar

yes I’ve tried parasol! I do like them!!

Pamper swaddler

Pampers are the best we’ve never had one

Yeah I like Honest!

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
