My nipples are red/bright pink particularly close to the areola and it feels like burning every time I breastfeed my 7-week old baby. I have tried lanolin cream and her tongue tie was released but nothing has solved my pain. I’m nearly giving up breastfeeding. Thanks.

Not an ointment but have you tried silverette cups? I’m 3 weeks into breastfeeding my son, had awfully painful cracked nipples and they really helped to heal them

Same as last comment. No help in the ointment but have you tried airing out your nipples with some breastmilk patted into them?
I have not tried them yet. I was a bit skeptical but as many people have recommended it I have just ordered them 😅🙏🏻
yes, airing them definitely helped but I still get pain while breastfeeding and the nipples are constantly red/pinkish. Thank you 😊

Lanolin helped me greatly!

These things take time! Your nipples haven't been sucked on for hours a day before by a baby who is also leaning how to feed! I had extremely saw a cracked nipples for a while, got better around 2 months in then occasionally hurt till probably 12 weeks, but we also had a tongue tie and week latch in those early days! I hope it gets better for you soon x
thank you Ellie. Fingers crossed 🙏🏻
