I keep hitting my carb limits on target. My numbers are on the high side of normal… but I am feeling hungry half an hour after I eat… it kinda really sucks. Is this happening to anyone else?

Can you add in some protein?

I agree with Nai. Add in higher protein and a little healthy fats and that will keep you fuller longer. Also for your protein a beef stick is fine but having unprocessed meat will also keep you fuller longer. And with your yogurt if you get plain Greek yogurt and add a small amount of honey with berries (low glycemic) you will also be more satiated.

How much protein do you think? This is another meal I was hungry after. I forgot to add the bun to the log, but the carbs on it 32.

What app are you using

Loose It! I used it for my last pregnancy as well.

SAME! I’ve been being so good but can’t seem to get my fasting numbers to cooperate! It’s been so frustrating! I have been focusing on high protein and fats and eating smaller portions more often … and for the most part my after meal numbers are on target … but even with midnight snacks I can’t seem to get my morning fasting numbers low enough!! 🙃

My son’s pregnancy I was told that my protein intake was too high, I am eating pretty much all the same stuff as I was before, with the exception of dinners. I don’t get it. I don’t remember being hungry all the time with my son… but my daughter…. I feel like I am starving. And eating meat has a LOT of aversions this round too. Eggs taste like dirty chicken coop to me. Texture of lamb, chicken, and some way beef is prepared has me dry heaving. It’s like all I can eat is chicken corn dogs and hamburgers in the way of meat. Fish I know we can’t have more than once a week.

maybe you need more fat In your diet to feel more satisfied?! What about cottage cheese ? String cheese and Greek yogurt have been staples for me! I’m also eating eggs regularly - I love them! What about water? I know thirst can also be mistaken for hunger too!

I eat yogurt, and at least 2 string cheese a day. Cottage cheese I can’t eat plain. I drink a minimum of 96 oz a day. I drink silk chocolate almond milk before bed, that keeps me from waking up in the middle of the night. But there is only so much of that I am willing to drink. My fat intake averages in the 40%. Screenshot is a mostly a typical full days worth of food. Dinner is the thing that changes the most.

what is it your body is craving?!

Carbs mostly. Sweet carbs.

I would switch your string cheese to a fuller fat cheese such as cheddar cheese. If you cant eat cottage cheese plain, there's a protein icecream you can make with full fat (4%) cottage cheese thats sweet, and high protein.
If you can handle hamburgers maybe you could do a hamburger patty with a salad with cheese, dressing, and avocado? You can even make some guacamole out of the avocado.
I get it though with the aversions. With my son I couldnt handle meat my whole pregnancy. Chicken literally tasted raw no matter how it was prepared lol I think in terms of fish, you can have certain types more than once a week. I think its high mercury fish like tuna you can only have once a week.

There's also a ton of recipes online for cottage cheese for a higher protein for pancakes and all sorts of other foods. Once you blend it, it essentially doesnt taste like anything and no weird textures lol
