Hey! My baby is 2 weeks old. Whenever I put her down to sleep within a couple of minutes she’s crying. She will happily sleep in my arms but as soon as she enters the cot she is not a happy girl! Does anyone have any tips for this please? I know it’s very early days with her but the lack of sleep is really getting to me now as she is in my arms majority of the night!! Thank you ☺️

Do you swaddle? Feet down first then head? Putting down when sound asleep? Tried putting down on side patting bum with shushing then rolling on back when settled?
Some babies are just much harder to settle, completely normal. It’s hard isn’t it!

Try a Love to Dream swaddle, mine’s 3 weeks and he hates being put down in the day but will go down at night when he’s in a swaddle! We also use a white noise machine 😊

Cosleeping is natural. The baby needs you for comfort and regulation and needs you to feel safe. A two week old baby shouldn't need to self regulate anything. They are brand new and can't even really see yet. You are all they know. My advise is to keep them close while you can cuz this phase wont last ❤️

I had the same issue.. One thing that helped me was to take off my T-shirt I’d been wearing that day and use it as a fitted sheet on the cot mattress. It made the cot smell like me and she went down straight away afterwards 🤞

Put your shirt that you wore on that day in the crib as a sheet that’s literally the only thing that will settle my boy x

Sorry obviously too tired and didn’t see the comment from Laura 😂
