So, I met someone in my state however he had to go back where he lives which is 3 hours and half away from me, we see each other around twice a month or 3 (all depends) we FaceTime everyday, and we used to text a lot before and we were always checking on each other, he asked me to be his GF and he does not text me all the time, however he checks in and tries to have a conversation, sometimes his job can be demanding.
However we talk at night for hours and sometimes we only do 30 mins.. however I am new at this long distance relationship.. we eventually said, we will get married so I am trying to see if I can move closer.
What to expect?, I am just struggling not to be able to see him as much as before.

I was long distance for around 2 years with my now husband, we would see eachother for the weekend wvery 6 weeks and would text and face time as much as our jobs allowed.
I worked hospitality so I was shift and weekend work and he was a lorry driver who worked 6-4 week days so It was rare that we could message for more than 5-10 minutes at a time and face times could only happen occasionally.
Its not about the frequency of the communication, as long as the communication means something.
thank you, you guys were incredible patient and made it work so well, kudos for your guys!!!

We've known each other for 8 years now, together for 7.5, and married for 3.5 years. I do think it helps that neither of us where particularly interested in a relationship so there was no pressure.
in my case it’s different, we both want a relationship, we both have kids and are divorced.. he asked me to be hisGF a week before he was supposed to go back to his state, however it has been super difficult for me, we have talked about the future already and we will potentially get married but not until we are both 💯 sure and we know well before doing that.
