Baby is taking first steps almost walking independently which is exciting. Looking for some good quality shoes to get. Any suggestions?

I went to Clark’s! £30 ish for a pair but they’re good quality and will last so we can keep them as a memory.

We use moccasins and crocs

Start rite first walkers are great, they have a super soft flexible sole, we also got some Dotty Fish shoes for our little one as they have soft leather soles so don’t restrict movement of the feet at all, they’re the only ones our 12mo will happily wear 😊

are the shoes from Dotty fish fairly true to size? E.g. my son is 12 months so would 12-18 be accurate?

yeah I think so, we got 12-18 for our daughter when she was 10 months so that she had some growing room so I think they’ll last her for a while

thank you!

Highly recommend Charles Clinkard (I think they are a national company?) Literally went this afternoon. They have lots of different brands to try, Clarks, Start-Rite, Geox etc... so you can try lots of different brands on. They then take a photo and frame it for you in a "my first pair of shoes" frame to take home with you!
