Moving to own room

Has anyone moved little one to their own room yet? If so how did you find the transition? We’re on day 2 today at nearly 7 months but it seems to be going terribly!! My LG used to more or less sleep through from 7.30 until 6.30 (with a dream feed and 1 or 2 resettles with a dummy) but last night she was up from 4.20 until I eventually brought her to my bed at 6.15 😩 Please tell me it gets easier, or let me know of any good tips to help her settle better!

I think separation anxiety is kicking in for mine! She’s 7m 3w. She’s settled once I come to bed! Goes down really well but awake on and off from 8-10. Thinking about biting the bullet and moving her! I really don’t want to. Every feeling kinda transitions into something else. The thought of not being with my little baby of a night time is scary but we also need to do what’s best for her.
It’s so hard to navigate sometimes. You’ll know what’s best - even if it’s against your heart!
My LG has been up 430 every night - I put her straight in with me and she sleeps until 715ish. It’s TIRING! She’s been GOLDEN until now.
We’re in this together!!

I found the transition stressful at the beginning. First few nights were awful (wake up and couldn’t settle so back in our room from 3am ish) but after a week or so she got used to sleeping in there. We are now week 3 and she loves her own room.

Does she sleep in her own room in the day time? Sometimes that helps for her to familiarise her surroundings or maybe a comforter? My LG snuggles into her muslin when she stirs around 4am and that helps her back to sleep x

We tried for couple a week and what a nightmare- wake up 3/4 times a night so usually by 2/3i give up and he is back in our room , I hope this will get easier haha 🥹🤣 it’s so funny is not even that long he been sleeping perfectly in his next to me and now another stage let’s move to your own bedroom 🤯😂

I’m so glad it’s not just us struggling! I always saw people saying “oh my baby slept so much better in their own room” “wish I’d moved them sooner” etc etc so been adamant I’m doing something wrong! Last night was also horrendous, she was crying to be resettled every 15-30 mins from 1.30am onwards. I haven’t been this tired since she was a newborn! We tried a couple of days of daytime naps before hand but probably should have given it longer. I’m just praying she gets used to it soon especially as I’m back at work now too 😩

Took us about a week to get it sorted. Though honestly he’s now back in another sleep regression so frequently ends up cosleeping from midnight. However he will now nap in there during the day which for us was a game changer as until then he had been a complete Velcro baby

Absolutely the same I feel like I am messing him up even more as I am so tired too I end up putting him in actual bed with us as I know he will sleep proper there and I get the sleep I need 🤯

Oh no how do you coping being back at work ? Is she going to nursery ? Xx

it’s awful isn’t it, but so reassuring to know we aren’t alone! I’m incredibly lucky that my mum looks after her for me as I don’t think my heart could take sending her to nursery so little 😩 It’s been quite nice to actually feel like my own person again rather than just a mum, but god I miss her! And I’m not sure how I’ll cope with the sleep deprivation next week if things don’t get better 😂

We started the transition about a week ago, by putting him down for naps in the day and doing nappy changed in there to get him familiar. Last night was night two in there, he struggled a bit and has gone back to waking every 3 hours for a bottle, before he was sleeping through! I think it’s just the change, hopefully he will get used to it soon!

Well quick update from me - night 2 was horrendous, even worse than night 1! But last night (night 3) was a dream! She went to bed at 8pm, I dream fed her at 11pm, she stirred once for her dummy at 1am but then didn’t wake until 6am 🤩 Hoping and praying it wasn’t just a one off but we shall see, feeling much more positive today 🥰

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism
