I currently still nurse my 14.5 month old. I’m so grateful that we’ve been able to make it this far in our journey but I mentally cannot do it anymore. I’m so angry and touched out all the time. I feel so selfish for wanting to stop but it’s not healthy for me or anyone around me at this point. He won’t take any type of milk in a cup even if it’s mixed with breast milk. I nurse to sleep so if I try to not he loses it in my arms to the point where he almost falls out of them because he’s uncontrollably crying. He’ll rock to sleep with anyone else but me. I can’t have anyone come help during the day for naps. I’m just so lost at what to do at this point. So if anyone has any tips on weaning a boob obsessed baby please help lol

Here for the comments but try putting something nasty on your boob aloe or hand sanitizer it’ll make them not want it

Well done on your journey!! With my first a dropped a feed at a time. Start with the one you know will be the easiest and work up the the hardest. I offered something instead so if that’s water or a snack. Then just preserve I didn’t rock to sleep as mine would also try through themselves so I laid him in his bed and would sit and hold his hand until he went to sleep.

I’ve not got to this point yet but I’d suggest weaning as gradually as you can bare because I’ve heard the hormone change can mess your emotions up. 💜

I don’t have any advice for you. Just want to say your baby boy is so cute 🥰

I’m at 15 1/2 months and just started weaning. My daughter sounds just like your babe. I was told to get a projector night light so the pictures were on the ceiling moving. I’ve only made it about a week so far but that has helped me to rock her to sleep for a nap with no boob.
I put her in her sleep sack, turn on the white noise machine like we always have, and now we turn the projector on and I give her a straw cup or sippy cup. She doesn’t like cow milk either but I keep trying to offer it. She just likes holding on to it while I rock to her and sing to her which has helped. We have been successful for 7 days now! It takes A LOT of effort and time to get her to fall asleep compared to what we were doing, but I have noticed each day it takes a little less effort. She wakes up as I try to put her in her crib but now only cries for like a minute and falls asleep on her own!
You’re not alone. I’m struggling too, Mama! We got this!

Good job first of all. It takes SUCH a a mental toll!!! I stopped with daytime feeds cold turkey then slowly stopped eat a night time feed each night until he weaned himself away. He did scream and cry and push away. Thankfully my husband was there to grab him. If he couldn’t, I’d have a breakdown
