Hey,
I am seeing my midwife this week to speak about my plan to have a c section which I'm on the list for. I am 36 weeks pregnant plus 1 and I am honestly struggling so much mentally, I am stuck in the house as I don't have a car atm and my pain in my back is so bad and baby is laying on my bladder and his fully engaged and right in my pelvis so I have a lot of preassure when walking and I just can't walk for longer than 5 minutes. I feel really trapped and I just want my baby born now! I have a history of really bad mental health so my midwife said she can write a letter to the hospital suggesting to give me a date now and make it earlier. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this? X

I asked for an earlier date for my c section due to similar things, I have chronic hip problems which at the end of pregnancy caused awful pain. All doctors I saw even second opinions refused. I ended up having it at 39+3 with only a few days notice

They typically won’t before 39 weeks because the risk is currently much higher by doing the procedure than by not. Baby’s lungs go through a stage of development between 37-39 weeks so they want to keep them in if there’s no medical reason to deliver baby.

They like to keep you pregnant up to 39/40 but I had my first son at 37.3 just because I had ear infection and I begged so they did and got him out and he was fine I’m pregnant again with a girl and got a c section planned and Iv planned to have her the earliest I can which is 38.6 days but it could be earlier depending on high risk factors just stand your ground it’s your baby if your struggling to cope demand you have the baby earlier tell them you will make negelence claim otherwise then they will 🤣🤣
