Hey yall i was just wondering if anyone has experienced mylicon making reflux worse with their babies? My son (6 weeks) has been particularly difficult to burp this past week and I wanted to help his tummy for later on so he would not be gassy so I gave some mylicon. during the next feed he was super hard to burp again but he spit up a couple of times and he seems uncomfortable from the reflux. like he doesnt want me to burp him he arches his back and cries and then eventually will spit up. his poops are also a little looser since giving him the mylicon. im wondering if i should just not reach for it anymore but i dont know what to do when he wont burp!!! and trust me i am doing everything i can to get this little boy to burp lol. what is the lesser evil here? him not burping and potentially being gassy later or him spitting up more and having looser stools? im thinking to just leave the mylicon alone for a few days but idk

I just used mylicon for the first time tonight, we used less than the recommended amount since my son is only 3 weeks. It worked for us his stomach was super hard and he does burp but we could tell he had extra gas built up, it helped him fart a ton and poop after a few hours.
Edit: My point was maybe try giving him a break and then giving him less? I think looser stool and spitting up a little is better than having built up gas. Also my pediatrician said that farting is good too if burping isn’t working at least make sure they’re farting
