My extremely beige food toddler just ate a piece of smoked salmon off my plate and keeps asking for more.
Can see mixed opinions on this online but they all reference 1 years old or 6 months plus.
Is this okay for him to eat?

At that age unless they have an allergy they can eat everything adults do is my understanding

It is fine but in small amounts or not so often. Smoked salmon may contain nitrates and is high in sodium. And cold smoked salmon can be contaminated with bacteria and parasites.

Row fish or meat shouldn't be given to young kids due to the risks of listeria and other bacterias could be present. Smoked salmon isn't cooked and those bacteria can still be present. If an adult or bigger kid has it, he might just vomit or have diarrhea but a young kid may die from it.
I think it's not worth the try
