Hello, I have a 6 month old girl and we were exclusively bf until about 4.5/5 months but since my period arrived I have noticed a drop in my supply. On weighing her at home I realised she’d dropped from 25th to 2/3rd centile which I was monitoring at home which led to me to supplement with formula and now she’s on more formula than breast milk. She’s now back to 10th, thriving on formula and I try to bf her during the day but she’s barely interested. I feel so sad about our journey ending but she still always nurses first thing in the morning and sometimes during the night. Is it possible for my supply to continue doing this? I don’t want to give up but I don’t have the mental capacity to pump to increase my supply! I feel like a failure for giving up so soon

Hiya, sorry I have no experience in this, but if you are on Facebook there is a group called Breastfeeding and lactation support UK- you can post or message in and they have volunteers who will help. There is also the national breastfeeding helpline who I’ve called for advice before and they have been fantastic- https://www.nationalbreastfeedinghelpline.org.uk/get-in-touch/

How about a supplemental nursing system so she discreetly gets the top up she needs: https://amzn.eu/d/2FptlBO
