I cannot for the life of me get my daughter to take the bottle. I don’t plan to do it as a regular thing but was hoping to go to a wedding reception Saturday which I won’t be now. Any tips would be really helpful?

I’ve been trying to get my little girl to take a bottle too. She’ll take sometimes but prefers the boob. The advice I was given is to be consistent with it so we introduced at 6 weeks and gave her a bottle every other night. We tried a few different teats as well and she seemed to take to the Lansinoh ones best. I sympathise with you, exclusively breastfeeding can be challenging when you have events to attend.

Someone else giving it to her when you’re not in the room? If you’re their she will prob hold out for the boob.
Different bottles? Warm the milk slightly?
My first would never take a bottle, so understand the struggle!

Have you tried different bottles? I found midwife Megan on Instagram to be very useful. My bf daughter will only take the Nuk perfect match bottle and won't take fridge cold milk.

Which bottles and teats have you tried? My little boy prefers the mam with size one teats (at 8 weeks old) and will only have a bottle if I’m not giving it him, I think they can smell the boob and refuse 😂

Try the Lansinoh bottles, they’re supposed to be the best for breastfed babies (and work for my baby). Maybe for the first time try it freshly pumped so it’s the same temperature as your baby is used to.

I found that she doesn’t like to take a bottle from me but will with other people! I am going down the route of getting other bottles/teats to try too!
