Losing the plot right now... it 2.40pm... I've been trying to get my almost 13 month old girl to take a nap since 11.30am! She keeps getting sleepy then fighting it to stay awake and waking back up... I do the who 10mins doing low energy stuff (reading books quietly etc) before trying again... Then after rocking, where she got dozy then once again woke up, I had to catch my breath (my back is agony!)... popped her down, walked 2 steps away to stretch my back and honestly collect myself and she looks at me shouts something abd points at a toy, I say "No, not now" and she screams at me, holds her breath till she almost passes out (breathe holding, she does it sometimes) and then promptly falls asleep in my arms. Out like a light...
For context she's been fighting 2 naps for probably 2 months now, last few days shes had 1 nap and slept 12 hours overnight... she had her jabs on Monday and has had a temp until his morning. Last night she wouldn't sleep until gone 10pm (trying to get her to sleep since 7.30pm), and she woke up at 4.10am until 6.30am but mostly fed and chattered to herself, cuddled her teddy etc (we cosleep). Then slept through until 8.30am (usually wakes between 7-8am on a usual day and has done since she came out of newborn stage.
What's going on? Is it just the jabs or something developmental? Shes been walking for months and in the last few weeks has really come on with a few more words and signs... losing my mind trying to figure out her sleep and feeding needs atm!! Don't get me started on solid foods which are mostly on the floor! š©

Could be regression, teething. My HV told me itās normal for them to drop a nap around this age ( they will have it again later down the line) my LO is 16 months and weāve got teething at the moment. Iāve been trying to nap her since 12:30pm (sheās currently stood in front of me yawning arguing she doesnāt need a nap) Honestly Iād just go with the flow with her, chances are itās regression, teething and a mix of her jabs. I know my little ones naps went at 12 months and only returned back to 2 naps a month ago. Every baby is different. If youāre concerned Iād either ring the HV team or pop a message on the HV app āŗļø

If she's slept till 8:30am she probably isn't tired enough by 11:30 ... That's only a 3 hour wake window so I'd try putting her down an hour later.
I also read up that if they aren't asleep in 30 minutes (I think it was) then get her back up and try again in an hour
