Hi, I join this group because I have some questions.. maybe weird idk.
I have 2 kids already, didn't breastfeed. Pregnant and due real soon, am thinking about breastfeeding.. however it scares(?) me a lot..
I generally hate being touched in the first place + kindda touched out already with my 2 kids. My breast is really sensitive I just don't like being touched and just the feeling of a shirt without having a bra on is bothering me. Plus I have kindda flat nipples.
After my 2nd child, I had post partum depression, and am still followed for it plus anxiety and taking medication.
With this mentionned above, would you still give a try to breastfeeding (I feel like the nurses team always kindda push for it.. but I don't want to force it if so) or would you just go with formula for my own "sanity"
Also adding I don't have much support available.
Thank you !

Sorry to ask if you don’t like being touched how did you manage with being with your partner, no offence just curious as I’m the same and became worse in pregnancy. You can always introduce both breastfeeding & formula. If you see that you can’t do it, then stick to formula feed:)

You can also pump. There are so many pump options. Even if you supplement with formula, any amount of breastmilk will be amazing for your baby!

i dont have much advice but i also have flat/shy nipples and breastfed fine
i got told its called breastfeeding not nipple feeding - they put a good chunk of boob in the mouth
i hope you find the answers you are looking for🤍

There a few thing u could do;
Firstly don’t Bf if it’s not something urself wants to do, it’s not a easy road so u gotta want it
If you do tho;
Firstly I’d say try it - see how u get on, you may not mind it, If u don’t mind but becomes a little too much good try combo feeding ( bresst feeding and formula ), Could do a combination of Breast and expressed milk, Could do all expressed milk
Then things to note: you could always start and stop anyyy time u want, with that mindset mind u could start express just the colostrum at the start as that is amazing for baby and is so good to start off in life!
Any step u take will be what’s right for u! Message me if u have any questions (myself a breast fed, expressed milk and occasional formula mumma)
Best of luck!

Breastfeeding can actually decrease the risk of ppd! Same for breast cancer & sids.
Thank you all for your comments! I'll try and see where it goes 🙃
