At my 20 week scan I was told I have a low lying placenta, would I still be able to have a 4d scan done? If so when is best to book, I’ve tried to look online but so much info it just gets confusing🙈. I know a lot of the time the placenta will move, I have a growth scan at 32 weeks to check this, I just don’t want to leave a 4d scan too late! Has anyone had a 4d scan with low lying placenta, is it worth doing still? Thank you x

Not low lying, but anterior, I did it at 27 weeks to try get the best picture before baby got too squashed in there to see well. It depends where your low lying placenta is, if it’s towards the back then I can imagine it wouldn’t make much of a difference to a 4D scan but towards the front you would likely want to go a little earlier such as 27 weeks

I had a low lying placenta with no4 I went a 26 weeks and got some really clear 4D picture
Mind u I had posterior low lying ( meaning the placenta was at the back) so that could of been the difference
Maybe ring up window to the womb or ur nearest private scan placenta for advice as they will know 100% if it’s worst paying for one and when to book one x
