Clapping/waving

Is your baby clapping and or waving?

My baby did a lot of things ahead of time like roll , crawl and walk, saying words etc but still hadnt clapped or waved.

When I ask him to clap he knows what it means and grabs my two hands and claps them together as I model it to him all the time on my hands and his hands.

I clap and wave at my little one all the time to encourage her, I nearly cried last week when I was leaving for work and she waved back it was the first time she done it. She claps all the time I'm quite dramatic about it when I do it and she finds it hilarious and copies x

Mine just started signing more a few days ago. She has no idea what it means but it’s her new favorite thing

My daughter can clap but she still prefers to clap my hands instead of hers but if I say Yaay she claps , as for wave she doesn’t wave like how you’d say hi , her hi and bye is her opening and closing her hands , I’m trying to teach her how to wave because I want her to learn how to sign milk and not get confused with the two. She’s very good at signing tho other stuff though cause we sign at home and also daycare.

My bub is also fully walking independently, saying a couple words, points, puts hands up for up etc. but also isn’t really clapping or waving even with me modeling them constantly. Doesn’t clap at all, never has, but does bang toys together. And just in the last day or 2 started moving his hand in a wave motion - definitely not with a “hi” or “bye”meaning but it’s progress.

Anyways long story short, I just spoke to my pediatrician again this week and she said she’s not at all concerned since he’s meeting all his other milestones including communicating other ways (a couple words, pointing, hands up for up, etc). So a reminder that development is about the big picture and not looking at any one specific thing 🤍

We've only just got clapping and waving. She wasn't doing either up until about 2 weeks ago. But, and this is random but she loves in the night garden. There's a little clip on there with Makka Pakka and the first time she did it was watching Makka Pakka and copying him/her

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
