I can’t find any information online but I’ve had an avocado sushi + those little sachet and chop stick they have at the top counter at Waitrose today. I haven’t checked the ingredients, it’s weird but I think it contained ragweed. Not sure if I read it correctly but I’m breastfeeding and scared if it will cause any issues to my little one. I will be happy if somebody could respond to this as I’m very stressed about it.

Soy sauce doesn’t have ragweed in it I don’t think. Highly unlikely that a soy sauce packet did as well, it’s not commonly in soy sauce in the UK.

You’ll be fine x
It might not have been soy sauce sachet or it might have been added with something because it tasted a little stronger than the soy sauce sachets I normally use (though it was my first time trying the sushi counter at Waitrose)

Might have just been a darker soy sauce than you’re used to. I must say I find the little sachets do have a bit of a weird taste to them. Even if somehow it did have ragweed, it would’ve been in such a small quantity that I’m sure it’d be fine but I really don’t think it would’ve been in anything you ate x

Soy sauce doesn’t contain ragweed, but I’m a bit confused as to what the issue is if it did?
Thank you so much Skye🙏🙏
Allergies? - Katya

Unless your baby is specifically allergic to it, you really don’t need to worry. Early introduction of allergens lowers the risk of allergies developing

There's no issue with this. If it's to do with allergens then it's not recommended to avoid allergens. Avoiding them makes it more likely for an allergy to develop.
So like Katya said unless you already know that your baby is specifically allergic. There's no problem.
