It’s ultimately your choice but just so you know they often cause colic and reflux because they don’t get hot enough to kill bacteria in formula. They’re also hard to clean properly so can end up mouldy from first hand experience

We use the nuby rapidcool instead which cools down the water and we do a hot shot in the bottle - we only put water in the rapidcool so it doesn't get dirty during each feed - once the kettle is boiled , it takes us less than 30 seconds to make the bottle

I use prep machine. It’s a life saver but everyone’s choice

Used it with my first and currently with my newborn.
I've read the negatives but mine never had the issues it was just a life saver!
LO didn't get colic or reflux etc x

We use a prep machine for the night feeds, we have the tommee tippee one, yes they are hard to clean but if you happy and able to dedicate time to do it, it’s not awful to do. The only downside i found is how loud it is in the night, it wakes my partner every time but not too worried about that lol. It beeps loudly when doing hot shot and to say that the bottle is ready, so just weigh up the options for that specific one. I haven’t experienced my baby having colic/reflux as such since using it and been a good few weeks now but he does spit up a lot anyway. Hope this helps!

I was using a prep machine at night but it didn't work for me, my little girl wouldn't burp and had pains after, and she likes her bottles warm unlike the prep machine it wasnt warm enough for her

The way we use the rapid cool is:
1. We measure the water in the bottle
2. We put most of the water in the rapidcool leaving a little bit in the bottle to which we add the formula
3. We shake the rapid cool until it shows green and then add it to the bottle which already has some hot water and the formula and mix.
4. We try the temperature on our hand and if it is too warm (which has only happened once) we put the bottle under cold water for a bit
