Xonvea - Sickness tablets

Hi everyone
This is my 2nd pregnancy and this time round my sickness and nausea has been so much worse this time round. I am about 8 weeks and was on cyclozine and then metoclopramide which just wasn’t working. As of yesterday I was prescribed xonvea anyway today I have had no sickness a little nausea… and as long as I take it easy not rushing to do things I seemed to have had a really good day.
Apart from being absolutley exhausted until 11am this morning. I’ve been off work which has helped this week as my job is very demanding.. I just wanted to see what people’s experience has been like with xonvea ? Did it just help the first few days or has it helped longer than this ?

I’m praying this is the start of feeling a bit more human but a part of me can’t help but think this is a fluke and I’m going to feel rubbish again tomorrow and next week when I need to get back to work and have so many obstetrics consultant appointments due to my heart disease in pregnancy.

Hey! Also second pregnancy and I’m the same. I tried three medications before they put me on xonvea. Since then I’ve not been sick but still very nauseous! I hope they work well for you. X

This is my second pregnancy and was prescribed prochlorperazine and cyclozine in my first pregnancy which did nothing.
This time around I’ve been on xonvea for 10 days now .. first few days were great and felt much better and I’ve had good days and bad days since. I’m no longer vomiting so it definitely takes the edge off but I’m definitely still nauseous some days worse than others.
I guess Everyone reacts differently though

I take two at night at one in the morning. I feel it took the edge off straight away but I think it’s take a good few days to a week to start working properly. I’m functioning much better now but still being sick sometimes. X

I found it helps straight away too and (**touches wood**) I haven’t been physically sick since Halloween when I started it.
My sickness hasn’t been anything near as bad as with my first, but Xonvea has honestly been game changing for me; yes I struggle in the mornings with tiredness, I still feel nauseous and I do have the odd wave of intense vom feeling, but I can actually function and be with my daughter rather than being bedridden so it’s totally worth it.
I really hope you have the same luck as me! X

I had xonvea the whole way through my first pregnancy, worked amazing and bb came out healthy! Anytime I didn’t have it the nausea came back 🙈

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
