At what age do you stop waking bubba for night feeds? My baby is gaining weight amazingly but is only 1 month & 5 days old. When can I stop having to wake her every 4 hours?x

Once she's back to birth weight xx

I would have stopped at day 10 if my little one chose to sleep longer than 3ish hours! I would let her sleep 10 hours without milk if she chose (4 weeks old now).

I was asked by my health visitor with my first baby why I would wake a sleeping baby? When I asked this same question. I read something this time about not letting them go any more than the number of weeks plus 1 as a number of hours but I’m just letting my wee one wake to feed rather than weakening her, she’s 9weeks now and doing anywhere between 4-7hrs sleeping, her best sleep is overnight.

My baby boy is 4 weeks tomorrow and gaining weight so I let him sleep. He slept over 5 hours last night. If he was hungry he would wake up plus he eats loads during the day. As long as you hit the required amount during the day then I think just let them wake up during the night when they're hungry. Health visitors recommend certain stuff by the books but it's up to you if you want to follow that or go by your babies feeding cues.

My LB has done longer stretches at night since birth, in the hospital he went 2am to 7am without a feed.
I have only ever woke my LB up for a feed once and that was our first night home from the hospital as it had been 6 hours overnight without a feed and it felt like the right thing to do. When the midwife visited that morning, I mentioned I had woke him because it had been 6 hours last night, she said that I didn't need to and that was when he was still 2 days old and not yet been weighed.
Just been feeding on demand and I would say since day 3 he has generally only had 6-7 feeds (EBF), in a 24hr period.
If your LO is past their birth weight, not sure why you would need to wake to feed but worth checking incase there is a specific reason!
