I think I'm just looking for reassurance here because I'm pretty sure it is normal 😂 but...
My 3 year old has recently started nursery. He settled amazingly and seems to love it. However since starting I've noticed a real decline in his behaviour. He's been hitting us which he never did before and when we pick him up from nursery he always seems happy initially then gets stroppy/ overtired.
When I ask him questions about his day he seems to have enjoyed it and definitely isn't reluctant to go.
Did anyone else notice an increase in "naughty" behaviour after their child started a new setting.
I'm in no way blaming his nursery- they seem amazing! I'm not sure if my son is just copying behaviours he sees there, if it's just him adjusting to this change, or if it's just a behaviour leap and completely coincidental with starting nursery.
What was others experiences with their children starting somewhere new?
Thanks in advance!!

Omg I thought it was just us!!! My daughter started preschool back in October and she has started to push every boundary. We are trying reward charts to try and improve her behaviour. We didnt know if it was preschool or the fact we had a baby recently. She shows no signs of being jealous of her little brother.

Since starting pre school, we have learnt to stomp our foot, tell us that “I can do what I want”, and many MANY more 🤣 she however absolutely loves it there an she has learnt so much so I’m really not worried! This stuff happens when they spend time with other kids but the overtiredness Definatly brings out a lot of naughtiness for us too so don’t worry 😉🤣

stop! i thought the exact same thing my little one has just recently moved to a new nursery and he enjoys it and is really getting into it, but has all of a sudden gotten the habit of hitting and sometimes when we explain to him he can’t be hitting, his response is ‘hit harder’ threenager mode is deffo activated😂
Thanks for taking the time to reply ladies! I'm just such an over thinker 😂 I knew it was bound to be normal but this is definitely reassuring that we're in this together haha x
