Curious when is everyone planning to start maternity leave.
I was hoping to start the end of Feb, but work a very physical job and not sure I’m going to survive that long. 🥴

Are you able to reduce the physicalness of your job through your risk assessment with HR? I've been taken off certain duties already. I'm hoping to go as late as possible so mid-late April

I’m looking at end of March x

Hairdresser here 💇🏼♀️ due 16th going off march 29th if I can

I’m due 9th April and will be going back Jan 2027, so I need to use all my holiday. I’ll be going off around 3rd March

I’m due 16 April and hoping to finish Easter weekend but planning to use annual leave for a week and start mat leave 13th.
Last time I was due 26th and was finishing work on 20th but had my son on 18th so this time I would like some time in between haha

Im planning end of March or 1st week of April, im due april 25th 😊 x

Due 22nd April and starting mat leave 15th April…one week before 😬

You can take up till 11 weeks before the due date before going on mat leave . I’d speak to your manager about doing a risk assessment and managing some things before hand.

I have a very physical job and they are having to adapt to what I can do. I'm planning on working till I'm 39 weeks pregnant as that means my 9 months paid takes me till after Christmas 😂

Due 17th April and looking to finish around 20th March. I run a central London Pub so it’s a very physical job with lots of shift work and is hard going. Last time I only survived until 35 weeks so we will see how I go. I will take the full year and have 32 days holiday ontop of that though so I’m very fortunate x

Due 21st April, hoping to finish a couple weeks before 😊

I work a physical job with shift work too but work are adjusting my duties and hours and will be incorporating some WFM from week 30. I’m due 22nd April and finishing 13th April. I would have pushed int to to 20th April but my maternity has to start on a Monday and my last I started labouring 3 days before EDD x

I am due on the 4 April and plan to work right up to Thursday 2 April before Good Friday if possible but I have a desk job. I think this makes a huge difference that I’m not on my feet. Also my first baby so don’t have the exhaustion of being a mumma already.

Thank you everyone.
So I’m a personal carer, it’s not so much the job it self that I find exhausting it’s the jumping on the buses and going between clients. But then also having a toddler on top of it all. I’m due the 8th of April and having regular check ins with my manager.

I’m self employed as a cleaner but it’s hard to judge when to go off as am already struggling did a 3 hour & then. 2 hour clean last week ended up in bed all the next day exhausted am hoping to go a week before my due date but could change 🙈

I ah e no idea! I’m due April 8th. I work from home so I’m thinking of giving myself 2.5 weeks ish so might have my last day march 20th x

I work from home and will give myself 2-3 weeks before the due date. The UK is absolutely horrible compared with other European countries. All my friends and family are horrified when I tell them we can work up till our due date 🥲
