Literally cooked and baked from 4pm Wednesday to 5 pm Thursday with no sleep and I made pecan pie, apple pie, cookies, macaroni, and cheesy mashed potatoes all while I had a sprained ankle… I got told that I had to pay back the stuff that I wasn’t able to get, that I wasn’t tired enough to be complaining, that my body was fine, and the best thing ever was getting to my brother in laws and no one touched the mashed potatoes, the pies, or the cookies but ate tf out of the macaroni that I only had two servings left and then had to take all of it back home and throw away half of the potatoes. I will not be doing this next year I am way too tired. The best part of this whole thing was the fact that my BILs friends only brought beans and rice. I swear I’m done with it all.

Oh absolutely not! Our family pitched in and we all brought a plate! There is no way it is left all on one person! I’m so sorry!

Yeah our family did the same each one brought something

Forget that! We did a bird and green beans the the other 2 families also brought 2 dishes each and that was it. The point is to be thankful not exhausted.

No way I’d do any of that! Girl next year make it a rule that everyone brings one thing. That way y’all have a break and just give each other something specific that everyone knows they like. I’m sorry that happened to you. It’s so unfair and frustrating.

I would be lighting someone’s backside on fire! I did all that a few years back with family, they did the same thing so I took all of the food I made to a friend’s place/event, we ate everything and even made plates for people who stopped by a food pantry because they were homeless. Take your time and love to folks who appreciate you and your efforts.
This year, me and my hubby and baby just went out to eat and sit with friends, best thing ever and no making pounds of food. Still in a room full of love and appreciation. Plus, they made sure I got my pie without someone stealing it.
