Am i wrong for deciding to cut off visits with my child’s father he went MIA for 3 months didn’t even reach out for his 1st birthday and he recently reached out and said he wanted to be a part of his child’s life I worked out a schedule with him to see him 2 days a week for 3 hours at my house it’s been about 3 weeks of visits so far and he hasn’t showed up for one visit a week because it “slipped his mind” to put on his calendar or “ it’s been chaos in his life” there has been days where I had to change the scheduled day but I let him know a week in advance of the change he’s been inconsistent in our son‘s life since I first found out I was pregnant. He goes MIA for 3 to 4 months and then comes back around and says he wants to be a part of his son’s life, but he’s never consistent because he says he has so much going on in his life. Am I in the wrong for choosing to go no contact and stopping visits because he is still showing that he is not going to be consistent and I am more than accommodating for him. Like leaving work because i work from home picking my son up from daycare so he can have visits with his dad.

No, you’re not wrong for this. I strongly believe in “if he wanted to, he would”. So stop going out of your way for him if he’s not even doing so himself. It will harm the baby more to have an inconsistent parent than not to have one at all. Speaking from experience unfortunately.
