Contact naps

My 4 month old really likes to snuggle and be cuddled for his naps (when they happen 🫩). Is this safe? Even at night now he does seem to prefer sleeping on his side. Obviously I want to keep him as safe as possible but flat on his back just doesn’t seem to work for him anymore.

Completely fine - my girl lied on her side from 3 months. She’s now 21 months and is perfectly fine just a massive fidget arse!

My first liked to sleep on his side from very early on. We tried to stop it but he would just do it himself so we just let it happen

My baby has always been a side sleeper as much as I tried to correct it it was the only way she’d sleep (she had reflux from birth so probs why she hated being on her back) but now she can move onto her side herselfšŸ™‚ I think it might be something to do with the way they lay whilst in the womb because I always sleep on my left side and so does she🤣🤣

My baby has always done this! Xx

My baby was able to wiggle onto his side in the hospital. He has literally slept on his side from the moment he came out and there was nothing to be done about it. If I tried to put him on his back he’d wake up and scream or just immediately roll back onto his side.

My 11-week-old baby is the same — he wants to sleep like this, lying on his side and holding onto my arm. He doesn’t sleep any other way. At least during the transition to sleep and into deep sleep, we stay like this for about an hour. After that, I try putting him in his bed. Sometimes it works on the second try, sometimes on the third. And sometimes I give up and we sleep together.

So cute šŸ˜šŸ˜

As long as they can roll themselves over they can sleep in any position. That's why we do tummy time so they learn and build that strength

I miss this so much

Thanks for the comments everyone, I won’t worry anymore and just embrace the snuggles 🄰

My baby girl does this too; it’s all ok, she would roll onto her side and even her belly when asleep from like 4/5months but was able to roll back. Now she has for really clingy she only sleeps next to me in my bed but on her side snuggled in x

Co sleeping is biologically natural, it’s the best way for you and Bub to get some rest :) just look up cosleeping on YouTube etc to learn more if you’re concerned, there’s a heap of info out there

Same baby only contact naps and only on her side

I have a nearly 4 month old & she loves napping in my arms sometimes it’s the only way to calm her down sometimes it works putting her back in her bed in the morning for a morning nap sometimes it takes a while at night the same but she eventually does sleep in her own space x

I also got told by my health visitor that sleeping on the side can be bad but we always have seemed to do it if she’s just had a feed & then put in her bed but she rolls over onto her back anyway & is always fine x

My baby is not even 4 days old and loves to roll on his left side to sleep.

No matter how many time I correct him back on his back he still rolls over. Should I be concerned? His bassinet isn’t wide enough for him to fully roll. When he side lays he can’t go farther than that.

😔

I decided to give my fiancĆ© the baby and finally take a nap being that I was on go for almost 24hrs straight! I’ve told him a NUMEROUS amount of times that he has to turn the a/c when he puts her in her bassinet bc the air goes directly over here

I just woke up to my baby crying and literally shivering to the point her lips were starting to turn purple. And he’s SLEEP!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I want to punch him awake so bad. How do I bring it up to him without crashing out??

Pacifier falling out of mouth

My son is about 1 month old. I was wondering if anyone has tips for helping him keep his paci in his mouth whild he sleeps? We generally only give him the pacifier when he sleeps at night, if that makes a difference.

Should I be scared for whenever I have sex again?

I haven’t had sex since I was 5 months pregnant & my daughter is already 16 months old. I had a second degree tear as well haven’t even used a tampon or put my finger in there as I’m scared it might either hurt, feel weird or be very loose šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
