My 4 month old really likes to snuggle and be cuddled for his naps (when they happen š«©). Is this safe? Even at night now he does seem to prefer sleeping on his side. Obviously I want to keep him as safe as possible but flat on his back just doesnāt seem to work for him anymore.

Completely fine - my girl lied on her side from 3 months. Sheās now 21 months and is perfectly fine just a massive fidget arse!

My first liked to sleep on his side from very early on. We tried to stop it but he would just do it himself so we just let it happen

My baby has always been a side sleeper as much as I tried to correct it it was the only way sheād sleep (she had reflux from birth so probs why she hated being on her back) but now she can move onto her side herselfš I think it might be something to do with the way they lay whilst in the womb because I always sleep on my left side and so does sheš¤£š¤£

My baby has always done this! Xx

My baby was able to wiggle onto his side in the hospital. He has literally slept on his side from the moment he came out and there was nothing to be done about it. If I tried to put him on his back heād wake up and scream or just immediately roll back onto his side.

My 11-week-old baby is the same ā he wants to sleep like this, lying on his side and holding onto my arm. He doesnāt sleep any other way. At least during the transition to sleep and into deep sleep, we stay like this for about an hour. After that, I try putting him in his bed. Sometimes it works on the second try, sometimes on the third. And sometimes I give up and we sleep together.

So cute šš

As long as they can roll themselves over they can sleep in any position. That's why we do tummy time so they learn and build that strength

I miss this so much

Thanks for the comments everyone, I wonāt worry anymore and just embrace the snuggles š„°

My baby girl does this too; itās all ok, she would roll onto her side and even her belly when asleep from like 4/5months but was able to roll back. Now she has for really clingy she only sleeps next to me in my bed but on her side snuggled in x

Co sleeping is biologically natural, itās the best way for you and Bub to get some rest :) just look up cosleeping on YouTube etc to learn more if youāre concerned, thereās a heap of info out there

Same baby only contact naps and only on her side

I have a nearly 4 month old & she loves napping in my arms sometimes itās the only way to calm her down sometimes it works putting her back in her bed in the morning for a morning nap sometimes it takes a while at night the same but she eventually does sleep in her own space x

I also got told by my health visitor that sleeping on the side can be bad but we always have seemed to do it if sheās just had a feed & then put in her bed but she rolls over onto her back anyway & is always fine x
