Can you fall asleep in complete silence??

Our power was out from 7:45pm-1:45am last night. The house was so dark that I walked into every wall just trying to find the bathroom. The house was so quiet that I could hear my chickens sleeping in their coop. Every move my daughter made in her crib. Every single thing the wind blew.

My husband? Went to sleep EASILY at 9pm. Me? Didn’t go to sleep until the power was back on because I didn’t have a sound machine to block the silence 😅😭

I used to. But then my husband came into the picture and he always needs a fan on at night to sleep and I got used to the noise. Now I feel like I can't go back. If the power was out for a night like I know I'd be able to but not as a regular thing.

I need rain sounds. Have done for years before having our daughter

I’ve woken up from a dead sleep bc the power went out and I didn’t have my fan on for noise

A fan is fine but I need complete silence or I won’t sleep 😂

My fan is my white noise machine. I'm the exact same way.

i used to love silence but met my husband and had my daughter… now i too have to have a fan or ac or something to sleep. Hubby, baby, and i recently traveled to stay with my best friend for her college graduation and her apartment was SILENT. All i could hear all night was my daughter scritch scratching on her pack and play cushion and it drove me insane. I had to leave the room and sleep on the couch 😭

I'm the same way. I need some noise to sleep. I'll wake up if the sound machine battery dies 😒

Y’all, I HATE being like this 😭 I’m also such a light sleeper, I feel like I’ll die from an anxiety induced heart attack when I’m older and I’ve always been this way!

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
