I'm going for granny pants and pads as I can't really afford the disposable pants. How many pairs of regular pants did you pack/use? Really unsure how many to take!

First see if your place of birth provides any. I found I didn't actually need most of the postpartum care items because they provided it for me.

I packed 4 pairs and ended up being in hospital for 4 nights and needed more!

I did 3,but also pack multi pj bottoms!! I totally forgot and only packed 1pair n bled through within 2hours 🥴

About 6, stayed 2 nights.
Until your catheter is removed, about 10-12 hours, you’ll be in mesh knickers and a pad they change for you. I didn’t put my knickers back on till I was up walking and showered.

I say pack 3 they give you a bunch of disposable ones at hospital when you have baby and can ask for a good amount when you go home too but I used comfortable granny panties I found at family dollar extra large and it was the best choice because the disposable ones got itchy and were kind of tight 🥰

Our hospital asked me to use their pads whilst in the hospital so I used 1 (I changed to my own before going home).
The reason for this was due them knowing the weight of their own pads so if they needed to weight the pad due to excessive blood loss, they would know exactly how heavy the blood loss was.
I was in for 2 days and went though 4-5 pairs of knickers

None. The hospital gives you mesh disposable underwear (at least here In the US)

I just took the new pack in with me so that’s what 5 or 7 pairs 🤣

Just clarifying for you as some of these comments are from the US, with both my births in the UK the hospital didn’t provide any underwear so don’t count on that

I brought 3 and used zero because I was in the hospital mesh undies and then when I got home I was in my depends 🤣🤣
