Hi all, I am a new mom and this is the first time I am dealing with either a, “stomach bug” or something else with my 19 month old. I’ve taken her to see her pediatrician and they say it might be a stomach bug.
She won’t eat any solids, does not want water or pedialyte. She is still wetting her diapers but is going diarrhea 4-5x a day… she is on her similac sensitive formula and is only taking her bottle when she wants it.
She just started having these black worm like things come out of her poo and I have no idea what it could be. Internet says it’s banana fibers but she hasn’t even eaten banana? Anyone else have any insight on what I could be dealing with? Her doctor keeps saying it’s normal for a stomach bug.

I think it's rotavirus if it smells really bad. Normally pediatricians don't prescribe anything else than solid foods like rice, bagels etc(anything boiled not fried). But i treated my child who's 3 now with probiotics specifically biogaia. I'm from europe and i had a bad experience with probiotics from us because they are not effective. Biogaia is made in europe and works wonders, you can find it on amazon.

And i had a similar episode when my son didn't take solids only milk. And what i did was to boil rice in water until it became like liquid (gelatin liquid) and then mix it with milk and it worked the poop was solid in the first day. With probiotics that i mentioned above.
