Breastfed my first for six months, but im having to pump this time round as my newborn is still in nicu (2 months and counting) Finding it hard to get in time to pump whilst juggling everything already and feel like it'll be even harder when baby is home. Im considering moving to formula rather than continuing to pump...any thoughts, encouragement or experiences appreciated! Im exhausted!

I’m combi feeding my twins, only giving them 1-2 bottles of breastmilk a day but they’re having 120-150ml already each. I’m finding it hard to fit in pumping around older kids and exhaustion tbh!
Don’t feel bad if you’re really struggling it is so hard. Do the hospital offer a milk bank at all that they can give to your
little one to help cover the pumps your can’t do?
If you feel like it’s getting too much definitely speak with the midwives, they might have some useful tips if you want to carry on pumping.
If you don’t want to continue there’s nothing wrong going to formula either. You could even do what I’m going and just give the breastmilk when you have pumped and it’s available? X

I could never get anything pumping( but I had over supply) so no pumping advice but just do what's right for you and your family and what works best. Do you plan to EBF when he/she is out of NICU?

Can you pump while bedside with baby in NICU?
