Hey mummas!
I need help! Our 4 month old does not sleep through the night. He wakes every 1 to 2 hours wide awake each time. Is there any tips for helping him sleep longer stretches?

Is this a new problem? Has he always slept longer? If so, he could be going through 4-month sleep regression. Basically FOMO is occurring. I've had luck with making sure there's as minimal visual input as possible. Playing some white noise and butt pats has helped my little one. But as for sleeping through the night, my 5 and 1/2-month-olds doesn't even do that yet. I might get a stretch of 5 hours. But if it's a new thing, I would look into 4-month-old sleep regression. Good luck!

His longest stretch is between 3 and 4 hours when we first put him to bed, then after that it's every hour or so. It's been like this for at least 2 months now :)

Sleep changes so much around this mark, as sleep cycles mature. What is his sleep environment like? Wake windows, sleep associations etc

Thank you so much for your advice!!! 🥹 I will try these things definitely! 🩵🩵

So, it could be so many things. Babies sleep cycles change like the seasons. So sometimes my little one had horrible reflux at that age. She would be fussy and sometimes uncomfortable and awake. What helped me was making sure I got good burps and sitting up for at least 30 min. Not to say that's the issue but it's a possibility. I've found a lot of good suggestions on reddit as well.

I feel you! This will pass. My boy is almost 5 months and has settled a bit.
