School run😵😵🫠

Sorry need to rant....

Does anyone absolutely hate school run!. Just find it takes most of my day up. As I do pick and drop off everyday. With two children in tow. We walk to school, as we're 10 mins away.

But mostly everyone drives in and parks on the road. Outside people's driveways and there isn't a pavement throughout and the cars block traffic. Just dangerous and really annoying.

It's the small talk, hoity toityiness of other parents. As a lot of parents are sending to my particular primary scho to save money for later on private school for secondary and keeping them in state till 8, as they say!🙄😅

I just like to get in and get out. Depressing realisation just started 10 years + of primary school. As my daughter started reception September just gone. My son will be starting in sept 2028. When my daughter will be in yr3. I just find it all a bit cliquey.
Some of the parents are nice, too many Amanda's from Motherland here.

My son also started last year. I find the mornings horrible, I hated waking up early for school myself and now all over again 😂 I have 4 all under 5, so getting ready in the mornings and rushing out the door is horrible especially when no one else wants to walk out in the cold first thing 😂

We also live near our school, but I absolutely hate crossing the road outside my sons school, there's no lights or anything, its on a corner and your pretty much chancing it 🤷🏼‍♀️. Apparently used to have a Lollipop Lady years ago but don't anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️

We live in a small village and since he started school I don't have time to visit anyone because as soon as I'd say hello I'd be going again! (We don't drive and it takes 2-3 buses to get to them)

Marriage

Has anyone been told by their husband or significant other that they want to work on themself? But will come over for a couple hours after work then go sleep over at his family’s house. But doesn’t wanna move back in. But you guys have a kid together so you have to clean, cook, and take care of ur child while he just does whatever.

Both parents go into an office and baby goes to nursery - how are you managing?

How does this situation work? ATM I am working from home and husband was made redundant, but I will need to return to the office after xmas. Baby goes to nursery 3 days a week, and husband is doing interviews/building portfolio etc. But even with us both being at home , it's so hard to manage a baby, getting sick/ having to pick him up from nursery. Or mornings are chaotic and I end up starting not when I want to. I just don't understand how you all manage to make it work if both parents need to go into an office? I know (and hope) that we will both be working soon, but am struggling to see how we will cope.

Would you feel resentful?

I’m currently 29, married & a first time mum (little one is 11 weeks old).

Even though I’m married, I feel like I’m a single parent as I’m doing absolutely everything. My husband has never got our baby to sleep, in 11 weeks he’s probably fed him once or twice (he’s formula fed). The only thing he seems to do is bath him for 5/10 minutes at night.

He works 5 days a week, but currently is always busy doing something he wants to do on a Saturday (golf, fishing etc). He’s gone pretty much all day from 8-9am until 5-6pm despite me being at home all day, everyday.

How do I even approach the subject or get a resolution to this without causing an argument? I am feeling super upset & emotional about this. I feel I could be slowly slipping into postpartum depression as I feel this should be the happiest time of my life but yet I feel so miserable.

Worried about recovering

Im worried about recovering from a second c section, I know people say its easier but my partner doesn’t help me or seem to understand that there is a-lot I won’t be able to do … I’m worried I’m going to end up back I’m the hospital for tearing my incision, or i am worried about pp depression from the lack of support I already have from him, my family is here to help but stressed me even more because I don’t want to cause any drama between anyone because my family will say something… and his mom is so overprotective of him and doesn’t want anyone saying anything to “her baby” he is literally 33 years old …. Im so overwhelmed and worried about everything and about having to suffer through more pain then i will be in … he literally complains about needing help doing everything! And we have a toddler and I do everything for her now when he has to do anything for her he whines about it and asks for help
