Moms who have potty trained their sons. How do you get him to actually pee in the toilet. He loves sitting on the toilet. He knows he needs to take his diaper off to sit on the toilet. He likes flushing the toilet so I know he's ready. Every time we give him a bath. We know he'll pee in the bathtub so as soon as he does we rip them out and put him on the potty telling him you can't pee in the tub. You have to pee in the potty. But then he stops. We can just never get him to actually pee in the potty. Any tips or tricks from other moms who have dealt with this?.

Consistency. Taking him a lot. Keeping him out of diapers. Naked or training underwear. Read oh crap potty training. Helped us. Our son did great with a sticker reward chart and getting a small treat. Jelly bean, chocolate. Stuff like that.

Put rainbow sprinkles in the potty…when he pees on it the pee gets coloured by the sprinkles. Worked a treat for us!

I feel like we did a little bit of all the methods
the naked method for a few weeks after he pooped we keep the bottoms off all day. We did the every 15 mins. The reward system. And we are now able to do car rides and run errands with no pull ups. Haven't conquered night time yet. But I say try a little bit of everything ☺️

I would take him every 20-30 min. Give him lots of water to drink

Give a reward like a chocolate chip or sticker for a pee

Try right when he wakes up. Get him a potty book. Put a stuffed animal on the potty

He did small "rewards" for our son. He got a cool stamp for going pee that he could put on him body where he likes and a small toy (typically from the dollar store or a hot wheels car) for poops. And a lot of hyping and high fives! Like crazy awesomes, you did so good. Every time he tried and nothing happened we reassured him that it's okay and we can try again later.

Let him stand and put a target sticker in the bowl that he can aim for.
