Baby has been gifted some fleece sleepsuits but I just feel like they're so warm and I'm terrified of her overheating and SIDS.
Baby is 5 months old if that makes any difference..
Bedroom is 20°c.

I’d say yes as long as there’s no other blankets or sleep bag being used which will cause them to be more hot

Personally I wouldn’t risk sleeping in a fleece sleepsuit, the material just stresses me out that my girl would overheat. I use them for going out in the pram on cooler days, or popping out to the shop☺️

I answered Yes however I didnt read how old the baby is before answering.
My son is one year now alreqdy, but he has been sleeping in a fleece sleepingsuit since 10months old, he has a vest underneath (fleece can be sweaty on bare skin, so thin cotton vest just adds a more comfy wearing) sometimes more if it’s cold at nights.
We usually have very cold room temp at nights 18-19 degrees x
And he doesn’t have sleeping bag or blanket x

No, I wouldn't risk it at such a young age when SIDS is still high risk. They cant regulate their temperature and a fleece onesie isn't breathable. I'm sure lots of people do it but I personally wouldn't risk it

I wouldn’t . 20 degrees is not cold enough, and fleece traps heat. It is not worth the worry or risk.

Fleece is a synthetic fibre - basically plastic. Therefore it isnt breathable and not safe for babies to sleep in as it can lead to SIDS.

To hot. Don’t do it. I like the room a little chilled for safety

Id use them for outings if it makes you uncomfortable x

No they can't, it's a SIDS risk due to overheating as baby can't regulate temperature

I use them for lazy days or going out when it’s very cold

I know you can get some thin fleecy sleep-suits in cotton. But unless this was the case I wouldn’t.
Especially when they’re under 1, I always make sure they’re sleeping in breathable fabrics, no plastic. I don’t use polyester filled sleeping bags either.

Hell no
