Advice not judgement please, I am aware they are not safe sleep approved.
For those who have used a form of sleeping pod, how did you transition your LO out of it when they start getting too big? My little boy loves his & it’s the only way he’ll sleep in his next to me but he’s getting too big for it now so want to transition him out, but when I’ve tried just putting him in his next to me without it he just wakes straight up despite being tired

Mine was the same! Wouldn’t sleep without it, but after a few days of just completely removing he went straight to sleep without. Try cold turkey but just be persistent xx

We moved him into the big cot so he had more space. Part of the reason we used the nest was because he would move so much and wedge himself into the sides of the next to me and wake himself up.
He slept fine in the big cot where he could move and not get stuck.

Mine has never slept overnight in a sleep pod but generally I find transferring him anywhere while asleep much harder than when drowsy. I would try to persevere with putting him in the next to me without the pod at all, so he’s not waking up with the sudden realisation it’s gone. Do you use any other sleep cues to rely on e.g. bath before bed, white nose, a nightlight etc?

Bath, bottle, bed at night. Mainly dummy, lullabies & cuddle for naps. All have with white noise & night light. He’ll only go down in his next to me with the sleepyhead in so ends up co-sleeping with me most nights which isn’t ideal for us.
