Advice please: Postpartum hair loss, tender dry, flaky, and extremely tender scalp

Hi ladies, I experienced hair loss with my first but this time around it seems to be more extreme. 😕 My scalp is extremely tender, itchy and dry. My hair is constantly coming out. I get this thick layer of dandruff now. I have 4C hair so i regularly moisturize but it doesn’t seem to be enough. I drink a good amount of fluids since I pump. my hair feels greasy half the time and will still have dandruff. 🙄 I was going to grab some head and shoulders but any other advice? I have never had dandruff and never had a tender scalp like this. Even blowdrying my hair has to be slow because it hurts.

(I love my babies but 😮‍💨 the things they do to our bodies 😅)

You might want to check with a dermatologist! It could be something like dermititis and you'll need/want a medicated shampoo

Absolutely go talk to a doctor but also try a hair oil. This hair oil helped me nourish my scalp and grow my hair at the same time. It’s especially for postpartum mamas like us https://kesa-beauty-2.myshopify.com/products/kesa-hair-growth-oil-for-postpartum-hair-loss

What color are the skin flakes? It’s common for people not to know the difference between a dry flaky scalp because of dry skin and dandruff which is caused by malassezia. If it’s yellowy and greasy, it’s dandruff. Head and shoulders is better for light dandruff, if it’s as bad as you say you might want to try something stronger like T/gel or T/sal which you can find at most stores and online.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
