My son turns 12 on 04/29 ...he has ADHD Associated with autism, are there any other boy moms with autistic children who can give any advice on how to get ur kid to eat veggies

Hi Ebony! Boy is this a struggle! My daughter has Autism and comorbid ARFID, which became life threatening when she lost 30 pounds in two weeks from restricting. When she was struggling so badly with her eating restriction (ARFID) her therapy program had us just give her Boost Plus rather than have a Fight to the Death over vegetables. Ugh!!! It's soooooooo hard!!!
If you're very worried about it, there are registered dietitians and even speach therapists that specialize in getting your kiddo to eat more variety of food. But, the overall message we got was It's more important to make sure the vitamins and minerals are in the diet (like in a meal replacement shake like boost plus) then to force a specific meal down your kiddos throat. Like, the nutrition and calories are the most important thing. The food diversity is secondary.
Message me if you want!
How do you know when your babies are ready for food ? I know a lot of people who have started theirs at around 4 months but I can’t tell if mines ready or not and don’t want to try too soon

I have a 16 week old daughter. Don’t get me wrong. I love being a mum and she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me but I find myself getting so so bored and find being with her all day so monotonous. I have tried to do things to break up the days I go on lots of walks I try and go and visit my parents or I have visitors round. I’ve joined a baby sensory class. I’m planning on going to a library session but it just still feels really boring and repetitive. I had a very active and busy job before maternity. I really struggle to get anything done for myself even down to basics sometimes like self-care or tidying the house. I find I really struggle as it gets to the evening because I’ve been with her all day and I’m so tired and I know that I’m only gonna get an hour or two of relief from my husband and then I’m gonna have to do it all again overnight does anyone else feel like this? Or have any advice on how I can get past the feeling of boredom and monotony but also the feeling of just being quite overwhelmed by all at times?

Hey, i think I just needed to have a vent, ive not always been the best parent to my other half but we both decided to have a baby and now shes here shes the most amazing baby ever shes so happy and so content and I love her to pieces, but my partner has literally done nothing he says hes struggling to bond to her but hes not doing anything about it, since we have been home from the hospital I have spent every last waking moment plus sleepless nights with our daughter feeding changing and everything in between, and i have spent the last 3 weeks sleeping in the sofa due to him being full of anxiety of every noise she makes, I know this is his first child and I know some fathers take time to bond with their child but it just feels like hes not willing to do anything about it, I have practically 0 family other than my 77 year old grandma and my friends are living their own lives and are doing their own thing, and just when I think we are making progress by talking and stuff it just feels like its 1 step forward and 5 steps back, I just feel like im doing this all alone and ive tried to voice all this to him but he doesnt seem to understand, im sorry for pouring all this on here but I just feel so alone

If youre giving calpol for teething how often are you giving them? Our 16wo is showing signs and weve just given for the first time and it seems to have instantly made a difference. Hes been sucking on muslins and chewing his fingers for a couple weeks but this totally changed his mood. Dont want him in pain but also dont want to be giving every 4hrs for weeks too either?

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue. My baby was born January this year so next summer I want to have a play area set up in the backyard for him- our front yard is very small as we live in a culdesac but our backyard quite big but is very uneven and almost like a hill. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what did you do? Eventually I want to have a swing set but obviously I can’t do that on a hill

So my partner is gone on a stag iv at home with my 2.5 year old and 11 month old anyways since he’s been gone my little girl is crying for him. He said he would ring them in the morning and evening well he hasn’t bothered only when I ring him for 5 mins but I’m so annoyed I have to remind him to actually ring the kids not communicating great and i really lost it. Hes on a stag with all hes friends who ain’t dads yet but it’s like he needs reminding he’s 2 kids at home. Im all for him to go spend time with the kids but not to check in on the kids or even to ask how everything is really annoying sorry just needed a rant
