How did you make your bb accept a bottle of breast milk?

My baby is 5 months old and I tried many attempts to pump and give him a bottle of breast milk with no success. He cries, struggles, pushes with hands and kicks. Is there a trick with the bottle/baby position that I'm missing?

I'm nursing 10 times a day, now with sleep regression is 4 times a night on average. I'm reaching my limits physically and mentally.

Try taking a look into the emulait bottle? It mimics the breast a lot more than a traditional bottle does šŸ¤žšŸ»

My first liked mam cups took to them fine but my second didn’t like bottles push them away didn’t want anything with them so I did a straw cup which after some practice she took to better. I’d suggest a straw cup with a weighted straw.
This time is also temporary a lot of growth is happening now.
Also try having someone else do it not you.

You might not want to hear this, but I tried so many different bottles, positions and tactics and the furthest I ever got was she took one bottle one day when I held her and fed her at the same time in a pitch black room. Otherwise she never took it. It wasn't until she turned 1 and started having cow's milk that she actually drank any milk from a bottle, she's now 2 and she does it every night before bed

At that age I’d try with a cup rather than a bottle as it’s quite unlikely they’ll take a bottle that late on if they’ve never before x

I had that exact same worry! My little one started at 8 months and I was petrified because she barely ate any solids yet and she breastfed like every hour. It was a hard transition and I had to get home and pump knowing full well she's likely to ignore the milk, have nothing all day and then come home and breastfeed. But she was actually okay... I had so so so many worries and I very nearly didn't go back to work not being able to afford it because of how scared I was, but she was fine. She'd make it through the day on the little food she did eat and then just feed at home and over night. Then one day a switch went off and she started eating properly and actually finishing meals, stopped breastfeeding during the day even on weekends and only fed at night. Now she no longer breastfeeds and she finishes every meal that's put infront of her, no matter what's in it x

When did your little one move out of bassinet pram attachment?

When did your little ones move from the bassinet pram attachment into the next stage? We have a Joie Signature, the next stage is the ā€˜stroller’ seat but it can be reclined so the baby is still lying down.

Waking baby for feeds (EBF)

Hello, my baby is 4 weeks old and EBF.

I woke up last night and realised baby was still asleep after 4 hours. Should I be waking him to feed/nappy change, or do I count my blessings and wait for him to wake me up when he’s ready?

He’s way past his birth weight now, so not concerned about that, but obviously he still has a tiny tummy and I was concerned he was likely sleeping in a soiled nappy.

I very much doubt this will be a regular occurrence but would like to know what to do for next time. Last night we chose to wake him up šŸ¤”

Moving off formula at 12 months

Can anyone offer advice of how to move from formula to cows milk at 12 months please?
Do you have to wean them over to the cows milk? If so, when, as the guidance is only formula until 12 months and cows milk only in food until that point.
Or do you just give cows milk one day and never give formula again?
Finding it a bit of a mine field! What if she won’t drink the cows milk!
