If you exclusively breastfeed do you also have to transition to cows milk when your baby turns 1? I know formula fed babies do but I know my baby will continue to want breast milk, if only for comfort plus she still feeds to sleep.

You don’t have to transition them for a while unless you want to

Nope, you don’t have to. I gave my children calcium other ways.

You never actually have to give milk to any baby. If they have a balanced diet and receive the nutrients that milk provides in other sources then youre fine. Milk is just an easy protein and calcium and vitamin d source.

No keep giving breastmilk for as long as they want it. You can add milk to the food mash, cereal, pasta sauce etc or other calcium food items yoghurt, cheese etc

No one needs to give their baby cows milk at any age! If your baby is breastfed and you continue to breastfeed on demand they will be getting everything they need.
