How long are your babies naps ?

My son just turned 15 months and it seems like he’s always sleepy. His naps could go 2-3 hours. Is that normal ? He takes a mid day nap but still it’s sleepy in the early evening like around 4 pm he’ll start rubbing his eyes and wanting to take a nap.

Mine is about the same! I do notice that she goes through phases for a couple weeks where she's especially sleepy and then she grows an inch. Their bodies are working overtime, so I just follow her lead and make sure she gets enough to eat and drink beforehand. After her nap I try to make sure she's awake for at least 3 hours before she goes down for the night... Sometimes depending on the day's schedule it gets pushed later and she doesn't get up until almost 5.
She is also very physically active, and always chasing around our dog and being outside

My son is 15 months right now. He naps for 2-3 hours each day from around 11:30-1:30/2:30. He also sleeps from 7:30pm to 7am each night with wake ups to nurse. Every kid is different, your son might just have higher sleep needs! You could mention his tiredness to his pediatrician if it feels off to you! My son had anemia because he wasn’t getting enough iron from breast milk and foods. Super simple fix is a multivitamin! We use the Flintstone brand and we crush them into powder and mix it with yogurt for our son each morning. Our son is usually very go go go but he started resting and laying down throughout the day. This prompted us to check his iron levels. Trust your gut! If it feels off, reach out to your pediatrician and talk to them about it :) you’ve got this mamma!

Mine used to be about the same! Now he’s every other day napping. Still 12hrs at night though thank goodness! But I’ve still been implementing quiet time in his crib just in case he wants to take a nap

Sometimes 45 mins. Sometimes 2-3 hours. Varies on the day. I just follow his cues and let him sleep when he’s tired

Depends on the day. We can have 2 naps adding up to about 2 to 3hrs or I'm noticing sometimes he'll nap once for the day and it'll be close to a 3hr nap

My son still takes 2 naps a day most days! An hour at 10am and 2 hours from 2-4. We can't seem to cut the morning nap unless we're out and about doing things. By 9:55am he's coming up to me saying night night 😅

My daughter sleeps 8pm- 6am every night and then naps 11:30-2 every day. Sometimes she’ll nap for longer until 2:30. I find it depends on what she was doing that day, how well her sleep was the night before, and if she’s going through a growth spurt.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
