My oldest had 4 inches of hair at 5 months so he got a haircut then, my second was a baldy and didn't get a haircut until 18-20 months old haha. The hair bothered me more than my husband as he regular waits until he looks like sasquatch šŸ˜… I say when you feel ready or it seems to bother your baby (which also played into mt decision to get my boys hairs cut)then do it 🩷🄹

My partner is a barber so he was absolutely itching to give our boy a little cut haha. I think he was about 11 months maybe

My first has been getting trims since he was 5 months old and just got his first "big boy cut" this past weekend at 20 months.

I actually wasn’t planning on cutting my sons hair but he’s on the spectrum and wash days were just too stressful for him. So we cut it during winter break about 2 months past his 2nd birthday.

We shaved him at 3m and gave him a cut at 1 coz he had 4in of hair by then and it was going past his eyes. I cut it myself but yeah his first proper haircut was 1. Then I grew it out and tied it into a ponytail for 2yrs lol so he’s has short and long hair. His hair grows QUICK. And esp after we shaved it.

As a former hairstylist, I wanted to cut it as soon as he was born. My guy came out with a full blown mullet. I ended up waiting until he was 3 months to give him a haircut. He’s about to be 6 months old and has already had 2 haircuts.

Personally, the sooner they’re exposed to it, the better I’ve found they sit for haircuts. It always annoyed me when parents would come in with 2-3 year olds and say ā€œI want a skin fade with a hard partā€ meanwhile they never had a haircut and freaked out the second I’d try to touch their head with my clippers 🫠

We waited until my son asked for one! He was 2. Our younger one hasn't asked yet so he hasn't had one

My son just turned 4 and still hasn't had one

My son has been having his hair cut since 10 months it just grows out of control he’s now 16 months and it’s been cut 4 times but I would say looking at your little boy you could wait a while my son looked like a mushroom before I gave in a cut it x

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🄺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🄲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🄰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
