How much are your 3.5 year olds sleeping in a 24 hour period? My little one is excessively tired and begs me to stay home and nap some days. We are going to the doctor on Monday for some lab work and stuff but I’m just curious what everyone else’s kids are doing at this age?

Mine sleeps roughly 11-12 hrs overnight with a 1 hour nap a few days a week. If he takes a nap he’ll usually be more towards that 11 hours overnight and if he doesn’t take a nap he’ll be closer to 12-12.5 hours overnight

Does your child mouth breath when sleeping?
I'd look into getting their airway checked (typically animal airway dentist or ENT). Oral ties or improper palate formation can hinder breathing when sleeping so they're not getting full restorative sleep.

I’m having the complete opposite. Mine doesn’t wanna sleep. He will stay up all hours of the night and then sleep maybe 6 hours and right back up at it.

10-11 hours overnight. No naps.
So we discovered she had a vitamin D deficiency that we are now treating. We started supplements soon after this post and she is now only sleeping about 10-11 hours at night and rarely napping. When she does nap they are hardly ever over an hour, where they used to be 2+ almost daily. She does say she’s tired on occasion but hasn’t wanted to stay home because of it anymore.
