Post birth questions

I gave birth 2 weeks ago with a forceps delivery. I had an episiotomy and a 2nd degree tear. The pain is easing but obviously still sore. The doctors told me not to have baths or use soap. When do you think you’re allowed to use soap/shower gel? Also if anyone had a tear like this before how long did it take to heal?

I had an episiotomy with my first and it took about 3 weeks to feel better. Cold pads helped.
I had a 2nd degree tear this time and it felt better after a week but has started to hurt again. I went to triage (for something else) yesterday and asked about baths and they said leave it at least 2 weeks but preferably 3

I had an episiotomy with my first and a 2nd degree with Feb baby, and the midwives both times ran me a bath very shortly after birth - so not sure why the advice varies x

I had a 2nd degree tear after my first & I would jus rinse down there with the shower for the first 2 weeks as didn’t want to make it sore or irritated as I didn’t have any pain & didn’t want to create any then after the 2 weeks I would have a 10 minute soak in the bath and a gentle wash for maybe another 2 weeks I think it was as wanted to try give it aslong as possible to heal

Had two what they call bucket tears with both of mine, which is inside the canal not the actual perinium but I found a peri bottle to be a life saver during going to the toilet. I found it worst with my second then my first as it kept getting inflamed so had to get stronger ibuprofen from the doctor. Think I had a bath after a week to just try and heal it quicker or soothe it and it felt 10x better, then at my 14 days check up the midwife advised a bath again as it was still flaring up. I’m now 4 weeks pp tomorrow (baby came 31st Jan but just kinda stayed in here aha) and it’s gotten better. They also suggest putting salt in bath water to try heal it, I personally didn’t but I’ve seen it helps. Also washed my hair during this bath and didn’t irritate it, but I only wash down there with water before I washed my body etc (I have to have baths due to post thrombosis syndrome and struggle to stand in a shower)

I have 3 brain cells and they are all fighting for 2nd place

Hi.
Stupid question as my brain isn’t braining.
My baby is now officially 6m old (happy half birthday!) and I’m wondering what the next step is for using a seat for her bath? She currently has the picture attached and she’s almost grown out of it.
She can’t sit unaided yet, is it the seat I get for her?

20 months old who won’t sleep

Hello!

I am struggling with my 20 months old. She’s amazing but when it’s time to go to sleep she just won’t sleep. Napping is almost impossible and bedtime is eternal. It takes me at least an hour to put her to sleep. If I am not literally next to her, she will cry and won’t stop until I come back (she can cry for 30 mins no problem and never get tired). Also she won’t allow my husband to put her to sleep.

I know this is my fault because I didn’t sleep training her correctly when I was supposed to but I keep trying everything and nothing works. Does anyone have any advice on how to teach her to fall asleep?

Thank you for your time!

Huckleberry

So I just need to ask os Huckleberry worth paying for, I need help with my daughter, she has hit the four months stage and last night sent me to the edge, she took over an hour to get her to sleep, I had her asleep around six ISH on me went to transfer after half an hour, and she woke up, checked the app and she needed milk then she went back to sleep around eight ish on me, managed to transfer her to her cot till 10 ISH she had another bottle and went straight back to sleep afterwards but then started fussing around two ISH in the cot eyes closed but whining, I put the dummy in and she went back to sleep and she did this again, still with her eyes closed about half an hour after, then up for four am, had some milk and a nappy change back down near five till eight in the morning, I have been tracking it on huckleberry and wondered if it was worth paying for the premium to get more advice on how to get her to sleep through like she used to, I am going to do a bathing routine three times a week as they not to bathe a baby too much and then I am trying to have wind down times between half six and seven, I am knackered and trying anything but does anyone else's child fuss during the night? Mine does I said before but she doesn't open her eyes or anything so I pop the dummy in to sooth her and try and let her fall back to sleep herself, I watch to see if her eyes open at all. Am I doing this right because I am confused and tired.

Ending breast feeding

We made its 10 weeks exclusively breast feeding just to find out my baby has cmpa and possibly a soy sensitivity and the dietary restrictions are too much. I also don’t mind formula feeding she’s been doing well with it. We started all this in last 3 days. Any advice?

Newborn toys

I’m just realizing I haven’t bought any toys or thought of getting any. Do 0-3 month old need toys? If so, what are some of the recommended kind of toys
